Four samplets (tile pieces) can be ordered free of charge via the product pages. If you require full tile samples please call our sales line (these are charged per tile). Postage and packaging is free of charge.

2) Returns

We offer a 15 day returns policy for all stock items. Following delivery of your tiles you can request a full refund, including the delivery charge, if you are not happy with the tiles for any reason. Return delivery charges are the responsibility of the Customer. The return of goods will normally be accepted by the Company within 15 days of purchase for goods in re-sellable condition but will be subject to a 20% restocking charge. Returns can be for exchange, replacement, refund or credit subject to the Company terms and conditions. Goods including (but not limited to) adhesives, grouts, sundries and any goods purchased specially for the Customer cannot be returned.

Q What are ceramic and porcelain tiles?

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are made from mixtures of clays, sands and other natural substances. The body of the tile is moulded into shape and then fired at extremely high temperatures in a kiln.
These tiles are graded for hardness and durability but in comparison to other types of flooring tiles are considered hard, strong, hygienic, easy to clean, non-combustible and fire resistant. They can be glazed or unglazed and vary in colour.

Q How do I choose the right tile?

In addition to the type of look you’re after it’s important to take into account where it’s going to be used. Tiles are designed to fulfil different needs, making some more appropriate for particular environments than others. Specially trained members of staff are on hand to provide advice and assistance in choosing the tight tile.

Q Are floor tiles cold?

Floor tiles are in fact an excellent form of insulation. We also stock underfloor heating systems for extra comfort. Please ask our staff for more detailed information.

Q Can I use tiles outdoors?

Many of our tiles are suitable for outside as well as in, just ask our sales team for details.

Q What are your opening hours?

Our normal opening hours are 9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday.

Q Can I tile onto a wooden floor?

In most cases there is no problem with tiling onto a wooden floor, but the floor may need to be overlaid with a suitable boarding, and a ‘flexible’ adhesive and grout are to be used. We stock all the materials you might need and your tiler will normally advise on what is required.

Q If I supply the measurements of the room can you tell me how many tiles I will need?

Yes, Staff will advise customers of the amounts required, including adhesive and grout. Measurements can be supplied in feet and inches or in metres. Note: No responsibility can be taken by Lifetile for quantities supplied wrongly when the customer supplies dimensions, we will calculate areas based on dimensions given and add 10% for wastage due to cuts.
Tiles are produced in batches and it’s important to make sure you have enough tiles from the same batch for your project, so order slightly more than you need. Any extras can be stored for future repairs.

Q What methods of payment do you accept?

Q How long do I have to wait to receive my order?
We will normally deliver your orders from stock within 48 hours no-stock items can take up to 21 days from order/payment but we can usually give you accurate delivery date when ordering, if you require tiles quickly please call our sales team as we may be able to speed up delivery.

Q Can I order samples?

Yes, up to four samplets (tile pieces) can be ordered free of charge, if you require full tile samples these will be charged at the per tile price. Please call our sales team for details.

Q Do you have a brochure?

As a web based business we do not have a brochure as this adds considerable cost and printed pictures often don’t do the tiles justice. However, we may be able to email pics or send manufactures literature.

Q Where do I find a reliable skilled tiler?

Recommendation is always a good way to evaluate tradesmen so ask family, friends and neighbours. Alternatively, Yell and Yellow pages are easy to access or contact the Tile Association via www.tiles.org.uk.
For larger projects of 250Sq/m + we have a local firm of contract tilers who travel across the UK, please call our sales team for details.

Q Do you supply adhesives, tools, etc?

Yes, we have all the adhesives, grouts, tools and accessories you might need however, these are only sold in conjunction with tiles.
